Message from the Vice Chancellor

I feel proud of in resuming the responsibility to work as The Vice Chancellor of the pioneer Queens University under private management in Bangladesh. Though, the Queens University had to overcome the huge hurdles created by the 4 party alliances Government. Presently, I have been initiating the required tasks for regaining the previous standard of the University and then along with my colleagues, my commitment is to set up the University that would be a standard one. I like to draw the kind attention of all concern that other privately managed universities are very much involve in educating the courses of the global demand. I personally, feel that the Queens University is very much intended to produce graduates based the courses both of domestic and global. Furthermore, the Queens University is also eager to exercise the rural culture & heritage of Bangladesh and based on which Bachelor degrees in Folklore, Bengali and political science have been waiting for opening.

I also agree with the vision of the University that is to cope with the increasing trend of higher education seekers in Bangladesh. Keeping the vision in my mind, I am also initiating to offer the courses of Bachelor Degree in Political Science, Sociology, Textile Engineering, Environmental Science & Management etc in coming spring semester from January, 2010.

In view of career developments, this has been cautiously exercising among the brilliant educators such as Lecturers, Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, Professors and Dean of all faculties. In a nutshell I should say a group of excellent educators have been rendering their efforts in teaching and it will be followed in future.

In my concluding words I have an appeal to all concern particularly, upon the higher education seekers and in this regard our efforts are only means to have your sincere co-operation for ensuring healthy and proper education in the Queens University as was in early period.

With regards,

Professor Dr. Abdul Khaleque
Vice Chancellor (Former VC, Rajshahi University).
